How we calculate
- Cost today = standard pad price × pads per year + concentrate price × litres of concentrate per year.
- Cost with Suprashine = Suprashine pad price × pads per year. There is no detergent, because Suprashine pads clean with water only.
- Difference = cost today − cost with Suprashine. The percentage is the difference divided by today’s cost.
- Cost per 1,000 m² = yearly cost ÷ (area per day × days per week × 52) × 1,000.
What the calculation leaves out
- Labour: cleaning hours and time spent on separate burnishing.
- Machine wear. The manufacturer states that clean water does not harm the technical condition of the machine.
- Periodic stripping and recoating. For polymer-coated floors, one of the manufacturer’s case studies states that coating use can drop by more than 50 % and the labour for periodic maintenance by 50 %.
- Water and electricity, which you use in both cases.

Where do the figures filled in come from?
From the manufacturer’s case study of a shopping mall with marble floors: 480 standard pads at 8 € and 2,080 litres of concentrate (5,800 €), 9,640 € a year, then 146 Suprashine HP 3500 pads at 33.60 €, 4,906 € a year, which is 49 % less.
How much does a Suprashine pad cost?
It depends on the line and size, not on the grit. Regular and Heavy Duty pads cost from 11.11 €, High Performance from 15.58 € per piece, excl. VAT; a 20" HP pad costs 54.19 €. Every size is in the price list. Pads come in packs of two.
How many Suprashine pads will I use?
It depends on the floor, traffic, machine and pressure. For High Performance pads the manufacturer states up to 645,000 sq ft, about 60,000 m². We work out an estimate for your floor with you.
Is the saving guaranteed?
No. The calculator shows the difference for the figures you enter. The manufacturer states that cleaning with diamond pads can be up to 3.5 times cheaper, and its case studies report 49 % lower costs on a marble floor and up to 80 % on ESD floors.
Why is labour not included?
Because it depends on how your work is organised. Suprashine pads clean and polish in one pass, so separate burnishing is usually not needed; add that saving to the result yourself.
