HD 220 brown
For heavy stripping of emulsions and coatings
HD 220 is mainly used for heavy stripping of emulsions and coatings from PVC, linoleum, rubber and epoxy. With water only, no chemical strippers.

The best pad for preparing floors before renewal or permanent coatings
It takes off the old layers of emulsion and coating and leaves a clean surface for the new coat.
Best on a low-speed single-disc machine or a scrubber. For lighter stripping and prep there is HD 400 red.
Ask about HD 220Grits and item numbers
The colour of the pad tells you the grit. Item numbers are for a 20" (508 mm) pad; for another size, change the ending to the diameter in inches, for example -17 for 432 mm. Two pads per pack.

Strip first, then maintain with water
HD is the tough pad for the hardest cases: old finish, extreme dirt, preparing concrete and stone. Once the floor is prepared, you maintain it with the pads the manufacturer specifies for your floor type.

How to use it
- Fit the pad on the machine’s velcro pad holder.
- Work with water only. The manufacturer recommends detergent only in extreme cases.
- On a high-speed burnisher keep the pad slightly wet: less dust, better gloss and a longer pad life.

Does HD strip a finish without stripper?
Yes, the manufacturer describes HD as the pad for chemical-free stripping with water only. On linoleum and polymer-coated floors, HD 400 red and HD 220 brown are the stripping pads.
What is HD 220 used for?
Mainly for heavy stripping of emulsions and coatings from PVC, linoleum, rubber and epoxy, with water only. It is the best pad for preparing floors before renewal or permanent coatings.
What is the difference between 220 and 400?
HD 220 brown is coarser, for heavy stripping of emulsions and coatings, prep before a new coating and honing stone. HD 400 red is for prep, stripping and restoring, and on granite and matt porcelain for plain surfaces.
Which machine do I use with HD?
Low-speed and high-speed machines. For stripping, a low-speed single-disc or scrubber works best. On a high-speed burnisher HD is for heavy prep and honing of uncoated floors.
What comes after stripping?
On coated floors, a new finish. Once it has dried completely, clean daily with RG 3500 and burnish with RG 8000. Concrete and stone are then maintained with HP pads.
