Grits and item numbers

The colour of the pad tells you the grit. Item numbers are for a 20" (508 mm) pad; for another size, change the ending to the diameter in inches, for example -17 for 432 mm. Two pads per pack.

Regular also comes in 9 rectangular sizes for machines with a rectangular plate, and as a 5.25 × 10.5" utility pad for hand work: edges, corners and stairs. Same grits, water only.

Rectangular and utility pads

More gloss on coated floors, with water only

On linoleum and polymer-coated floors Regular cleans and polishes at the same time. The manufacturer’s programme is a daily clean with RG 3500 and, every one or two months, two passes with RG 800 to remove the dirty top layer.

One pass with a scrubber-dryer lifts the gloss of a coated floor by about 20 points.
80+ points
With a high-speed burnisher and RG 8000 you can lift gloss quickly to 80 points or more.
1000 rpm
On rubber and soft PVC rolls, burnish at no more than 1000 rpm.

Burnish only once new layers of finish have dried completely, to prevent scratching.

How to use it

  • Fit the pad on the machine’s velcro pad holder.
  • Work with water only. The manufacturer recommends detergent only in extreme cases.
  • On a high-speed burnisher keep the pad slightly wet: less dust, better gloss and a longer pad life.

Frequently asked questions

Which grit should I use for daily cleaning?

On most floors 3500 green; on matt PVC, vinyl and rubber also 1800 yellow. On very soft coatings and delicate surfaces, 8000 silver.

Does Regular work on coated floors?

Yes. On linoleum and polymer-coated floors 3500 green is the first choice for daily maintenance, 800 white removes the dirty top layer, and 8000 silver is for burnishing. One pass with a scrubber-dryer lifts gloss by about 20 points.

Can I use Regular on a high-speed burnisher?

Yes, Regular works on low-speed and high-speed machines. 8000 silver is the daily and periodic burnishing pad for coated and uncoated floors. Keep the pad slightly wet, and on rubber and soft PVC stay at or below 1000 rpm.

When do I use 400 red?

For very deep cleaning of porous ceramic tiles, matt porcelain and granite, and to restore epoxy, vinyl and PVC with damaged PUR.
