Restoration in four stages
Attach Hybrids to a standard pad and work with water from coarse to fine grits. Stop at the stage where the floor looks the way you want it.
Stages and grits
50–100
Repair
Prep and clean slightly damaged or stained floors. Removes orange peel and light scratches. Prep for a sealer or coating.
200–400
Refine
Removes light scratches, discoloration, stains and efflorescence. Prep for the polishing steps. Matt finish.
800–1800
Polish
For smooth and polished floors that have lost their shine. Also for monthly maintenance to restore shine.
3000–BUFF
Max. DOI
Maximises gloss and distinctness of image (DOI) on floors in good condition.
Step by step
Ready
Attach the Hybrids to a floor maintenance pad, spaced evenly apart, for example 5 pieces on a 20" pad.
Set
A low-speed machine, ideally a scrubber, with at least 40–45 kg of pressure. Water only, 3–4 passes. Some concrete floors may need a densifier.
Go
Work in passes that alternate direction, and clean the floor between grits.
- Sweep the floor.
- Run the machine at a slow, steady speed in one direction.
- Make each next pass in the opposite direction: 3–4 passes, overlapping by 1–2" (2.5–5 cm).
- Autoscrub between each grit.
- Inspect the floor to make sure the cut is even.

Are Hybrids suitable for epoxy or vinyl?
No, Hybrids are for concrete, terrazzo and natural stone. To restore epoxy the manufacturer specifies RG 400 or HD 400, and RG 400 for vinyl.
